DENVER (CBS4) - A Denver family was cleaning their house of a deceased former resident's belongings when they came across hazardous chemicals and a grenade.

The house on East Dartmouth Avenue near the Wellshire Golf Course previously belonged to a former University of Colorado chemist. The family had been cleaning out the house when they came across what may have been a live grenade.

No one was injured and no evacuations had to be made.
