Crews Rescue Fallen Climber In Eldorado Canyon

BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Rescue crews responded to a report of a fallen climber in Eldorado Canyon State Park Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Boulder County Sheriff's Office, a call came in at approximately 4:30 p.m. about a climber who fell 15 to 20 feet and needed medical attention.

"When they arrived rescue personnel found the male, who was not wearing a helmet when he fell, conscious and breathing," the sheriff's office said in a statement.

Crews had to cross the rapidly flowing South Boulder Creek to get to the 26-year-old man.

Crews were able to successfully get him out of the canyon. His name and condition haven't been released.
