Explosion Cleanup Is A Priority For Oil & Gas Commission

WELD COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- The Colorado Oil and Gas Commission is taking an interest in making sure there aren't any environmental impacts from last week's fracking wastewater tank explosion in Weld County.

The Colorado Oil and Gas Commission said it will work with the company that owns the fracking wastewater facility, NGL, to make sure there are no lingering environmental impacts from the explosion and spill.

The explosion happened about 1 p.m. Friday at the site located near the intersection of Weld County Road 47 and Weld County Road 64, just northeast of the Greeley Airport.
