Expect Lots Of High Energy At The New Year's Eve Fireworks Show

DENVER (CBS4) - The work has been started on the fireworks display for New Year's Eve in Denver.
The tradition started on New Year's Eve 2000 with the fireworks along the 16th Street Mall.
"There are at least 15,000 pyrotechnique devices here that will be fired for New Year's Eve, there are two rooftops, there are two shows at 9 p.m. and one at midnight," Jim Burnett with Western Enterprises said.
Burnett says the devices used for this show are close proximity explosions so expect a lot of high energy and lots of noise. He also says there should be a great view from anywhere along the 16th Street Mall.
