Evergreen Firefighters Use Drone To Examine Wildfire

EVERGREEN, Colo. (CBS4)- Fire crews in Evergreen used a drone to examine a wildfire burning off Highway 40 on Thursday.

The drone flew over the flames to give firefighters an aerial view of what they were up against.

Someone driving by along Highway 40 noticed the smoke and called 911. Lightning started the fire in a field and the flames spread to a home.

No one was hurt and crews quickly extinguished the flames.
