Evans Police: Man, Girl Are Dead In Murder-Suicide

EVANS, Colo. (CBS4) - A man and a teenage girl died in an apparent murder-suicide in an Evans home on Thursday, police said.

An adult woman in the home also suffered a gunshot wound to her head and was airlifted to a Denver hospital after being transported to Northern Colorado Medical Center.

Evans police officers and Weld County Sheriff's deputies entered the home on the 2400 block of Marina Street at approximately 1:30 p.m. on a wellness check. The man's employer called police and said the man missed worked and was having personal issues.

The officers found the woman with a severe head injury. Police said she told them she felt like she was having a bad migraine headache. Her condition wasn't released Thursday night.

The man and the girl were found in an upstairs bedroom. Both had gunshot wounds. None of them was identified Thursday night.

The woman's employer and the teenager's school both called about their whereabouts, police said.
