Resident, 5 Dogs Escape From Burning Home
BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - A woman and five dogs are okay after getting out during a fire in the Boulder foothills.
The fire started at approximately 8 p.m. Monday at a home on Cougar Drive, located just east of Flagstaff Road and Walker Ranch.
Deputies and firefighters responded to a structure fire in the 700 block of Cougar Dr. It is believed to have originated from a wood stove. The 63-year-old woman told 911 her wood burning stove was on fire and had spread to the ceiling. She was treated at the scene for minor smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
