Erie Driver In Hit-And-Run That Killed Dog Turns Himself In

ERIE, Colo. (CBS4) - The suspect in a hit-and-run that killed a dog and injured its owner turned himself in on Friday.

Police sought 63-year-old Danny Duane Purcell for leaving the scene of an injury accident.

On Wednesday morning, Rudy Landin was walking his dogs in Erie when a driver ran into them.

Landin suffered minor injuries, but his dog, Black Jack, was pinned under the vehicle and died.

Erie police said they gathered enough tips to identify the suspect.
