Eric Church To Return To Colorado

DENVER (CBS4) - Eric Church's "Holdin' My Own Tour" will stop at the Pepsi Center in 2017.

Tickets for the April 5 show will go on sale Friday, Dec. 9 at 10 a.m.

With no support act, the 2016 CMA Album of the Year winner and his band will perform two full sets.

Church's last tour, "The Outsiders World Tour," topped Billboard's Hot Tours as attendance broke attendance records in several cities, with more than 800,000 fans in attendance at nearly 70 stops.

Due to Church's popularity, they are revamping their ticket sale process to attempt to eliminate scalpers.

"In this era where growing inequality seems to be the norm, we wanted to do everything within our power to put the advantage back in the hands of true fans rather than those that take advantage of the system, and by extension our people," said Church's manager, John Peets, in a statement. "It was important to us to invest time into evaluating and redesigning the ticket buying process and build the technology to level the playing field."

Church released his fifth studio album, "Mr. Misunderstood," on Nov. 3, 2015
