Employees Continue Working After Car Smashes Into Popular Store In Littleton

LITTLETON, Colo. (CBS4) - A popular store in Littleton is still standing after a car crashed into it Monday afternoon.

Colorado Ski and Golf employees remained at work and were still selling skis as a crew worked to keep the snow out of the shop.

A Subaru crashed into the building, shattering a massive glass window and shaking the building. It surprised shoppers and the businesses next door.

Alan Roy thinks the driver was pulling up to the store and lost control.

"I heard a huge crash in Colorado Ski and Golf and thought maybe a display or something had fallen over," Roy said. "About 5 minutes a fire truck pulled up in front."

The parking lot was slick from snow piling up and hardening into ice.

Paramedics treated the driver at the scene and released her. Investigators didn't say what charges the driver might face and weren't sure if she was even at fault.

No bystanders were hurt.
