Elk Captured, Used As Teaching Moment For Kids In Centennial Neighborhood

CENTENNIAL, Colo. (CBS4)- An elk that was wandering around a neighborhood in Centennial has been released back into the wild.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials tranquilized the elk on Thursday after it decided to take a break in front of a garage.

Officials used the situation as a teaching moment, allowing children in the neighborhood to get close to the animal after it was tranquilized and loaded into the trailer.
