Elitch Gardens Adds New Thrill Ride Called 'Brain Drain'

DENVER (CBS4) - For the first time in a decade Elitch Gardens Theme and Water Park will add a new thrill ride to the park.

The new thrill ride, called "Brain Drain," is a seven-story steel looping ride that sends riders forwards, backwards and upside-down through a 360-degree loop.

"As we celebrate our 124th birthday, we are extremely excited to add the first thrill ride in a decade to the theme park," Director of Marketing Tracy Durham said in a statement. "Guests can let their hair fly as they shuttle back and forth with suspense before wildly looping seven stories in the air."

The ride features back-to-back seats facing either direction.

"Each ride on Brain Drain is a unique experience with great views of the Denver skyline and the Rocky Mountains," Durham said.

Elitch Gardens opens May 3. Season passes are $70 and they're on sale now.
