Elephant Gets His Halloween Treat Early At Denver Zoo

DENVER (CBS4) – A giant pumpkin got pulverized at the Denver Zoo on Saturday as part of an annual Halloween tradition.

Bodhi, one of the zoo's Asian elephants, crushed and ate a 400-pound pumpkin donated by giant pumpkin hobbyist Brian Deevy.

"The pumpkin was filled with plums, sweet potatoes, bananas, kiwis, and even smeared in some peanut butter and jelly," zoo officials said in a statement.
