Child Shot In El Paso County In Critical Condition, Father Arrested

YODER, Colo. (CBS4)- A shooting in El Paso County has left a child in critical condition and his father facing multiple charges. The shooting happened Tuesday night in Yoder, a town about 30 miles outside of Colorado Springs.

The boy is younger than 10 years old and is suffering from life-threatening injuries. Authorities believe he was shot on private property.

Nikolay Kruititsky, 34, was arrested. Investigators are trying to determine whether the shooting was intentional.

The boy was brought to the U.S. Post Office in Yoder where first responders picked him up and rushed him to the hospital.
