East Coast Ski Resort Beats Colorado Ski Areas In Race To Open First

(CBS4) - Snow is falling in Colorado's mountains and snowmaking efforts are underway at several resorts, but a ski area in Maine has beaten the usual suspects to the punch in the race to open first.

This week Sunday River Ski Resort in Newry, Maine, opened for the season, beating Arapahoe Basin and Loveland, Colorado's two resorts which are often the first two resorts to open across the country.

So far no opening dates have been set at any Colorado resorts.
