Early Voting Centers Open Monday Across Colorado

DENVER (CBS4) - Early voting centers opened on Monday morning across Colorado. It's also the first day to begin counting General Election ballots that have been sent in.

Hundreds of thousands of voters have received their 2018 ballots in the mail. The voters are now starting to mail them in.

"Early voting is traditionally very slow especially since Colorado went to a mail ballot delivery model, so if you are going to vote in person this first week is the time to do it because you won't run into any lines," said Arapahoe County Clerk and Recorder Matt Crane.

Election Day is Nov. 6.

The election's office asks residents to do their research, fill out the ballot and return it before Election Day on Nov. 6.

Completed ballots can be mailed in or dropped off at one of the many 24/7 boxes around town.

There will also be several polling places around the state, and people can vote at their county clerk's office.
