Eagle County Sheriff's Deputy Arrested For Off-Duty Sex Assault
EAGLE, Colo. (CBS4)- An 11-year veteran with the Eagle County Sheriff's Office has been arrested, accused of a sexual assault that happened when he was off-duty.
Timothy Joseph Hay, or T.J. as he is known, was arrested at his home in Gypsum on Friday morning.
The 5th Judicial District Attorney is conducting an investigation into the alleged incident which occurred on or about Sept. 18 when Hay was off-duty.
He was formally advised of the charge of sexual assault, a felony. Bond was set at $15,000. Hay is scheduled to return to court on Oct. 22 at 1 p.m.
