DU's Joe Scott Thinks CU's Spencer Dinwiddie Has The Talent For The NBA

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) – There have been some reports out of the University of Colorado that star basketball player Spencer Dinwiddie might leave school to turn pro.

University of Denver stopped by CBS4 studios to talk basketball and said Dinwiddie should be careful and make sure he's 100 percent healed from tearing his ACL earlier this season.

"It's a very personal thing. Obviously I think his health … the NBA gives a good review process … where you're going to fit in there," Scott said. "In his case he's just got to be a little careful that he is 100 percent, that he feels really good, that's he's going to be able to compete at a high level coming off a knee injury like that."

Scott said Dinwiddie obviously has the talent to play in the NBA.

"He's a very good player, he's got good size for a guard," Scott said. "I just think that it's going to be health … you get good enough information these days that he'll be able to make the right decision."
