DU Police Warn About Another Robbery Near Campus

DENVER (CBS4) - The University of Denver is again warning students and staff about a strong-arm robbery.

DU tweeted out a report of a robbery in the area of South Gilpin Street and East Asbury Avenue Tuesday night telling followers to avoid the area.

"I work at the bar across the street so I'm back and forth in this area a lot at night so if people are getting robbed a lot than I would be a frequent target," said DU student Kevin Ritt.

The robbery occurred in the same area where five DU students were robbed in November. In those cases police say two men approached the students and one had a gun.

So far police have not said if the new report might be related to the earlier crimes.
