DU Pioneers Head To The College Cup

DENVER (CBS4)- The players of the University of Denver's soccer team got an enthusiastic sendoff on Tuesday as they head to the College Cup in Houston this weekend.

The Pioneers are two wins away from a national title. First they'll take on Wake Forest.

There are lots of ties between the two programs. Former DU head coach Bobby Muuss is the head coach at Wake Forest and current DU coach Jamie Franks played college soccer for the Demon Deacons.

"They're prepared, they're ready for this moment. The only thing I ever know about my group is that the bigger the game the better the performance," said Franks.
