DU Cheer Squad Makes It Easy To Donate A Toy This Thursday

DENVER (CBS4) – CBS4's partners at the University of Denver will be holding a special Care 4 Colorado toy collection on Thursday.

The Pioneer cheerleaders are heading up the effort. They're hosting a drive-through drop-off tent collection on Thursday so people don't even have to get out of their cars to drop off a toy.

They're making it easy to put a smile on a child's face this Christmas.

"Christmas is a super special time. We really want everybody to be able to unwrap a present. It's really helpful for a child to be able to experience the magic of Christmastime," said Nick Corcoran, DU Cheer Team Captain.

The cheer squad will be doing their tent collection on the round-a-bout at the Richie Center off Buchtel Avenue from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and then again from 4:30-6:30 p.m on Thursday.

Those who can't make the tent collection can drop off a new toy in the Care 4 Colorado bins at neighborhood King Soopers stores, or stop by the CBS4 studios at 1044 Lincoln Street.

The Care 4 Colorado collection runs through Christmas Eve.
