Driver, Tow Truck Operator Catch Denver Hit & Run Suspect

DENVER (AP/CBS4) - Denver police say a driver suspected of grazing a boy crossing the street was arrested after a witness and a tow truck operator managed to stop the driver.

The driver hit the 10-year-old boy Monday morning near the intersection of East Colfax Avenue and Yosemite Street and kept driving.

Police spokeswoman Christine Downs says another driver who saw what happened followed the vehicle and a tow truck driver who heard the driver's efforts to stop the hit-and-run suspect used his truck to pin in the vehicle until police arrived near Interstate 270 and Vazquez Boulevard.

The boy wasn't seriously hurt and didn't have to go to the hospital.
