Driver Arrested After Leading Officers On 11-Mile Chase

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4)- A man led law enforcement officers on a chase that covered 11 miles in Colorado Springs.

The Colorado Highway Patrol started pursuing the man after they noticed he was yelling and honking his horn while driving dangerously.

The chase led troopers to Highway 24 where police officers from Colorado Springs joined them.

Shots were fired at one point during the chase but it is unclear whether the suspect or officers fired.

The suspect then used his truck to shove the police cruiser into a tree. Officers finally used their cruisers to stop the man. Both cruisers were damaged.

Officers arrested the driver before he was taken to the hospital. The driver has not been identified.
