Sgt. Lori Bronner, a spokeswoman for the Douglas County Sheriff's office, said Tyler King was convicted on drug charges. They made the announcement about his disappearance on Wednesday.

On Thursday sheriff's deputies in the county searched extensively for a man who along with a woman ran away from the scene of a car crash. Bronner said that man was described as also having tattoos on his neck. No official connection between the cases has been made, however.

Police asked that anyone who knows where King is call the Douglas County Sheriff's office at 303-660-7500 or 303-660-7574.
