Douglas Co. Deputies Arrest Sex Assault On Child Suspect

CASTLE ROCK, Colo. (CBS4)- Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office have located a man wanted for sex assault on a child after asking the public for help in locating him.

The sheriff's office has been investigating Joshua David Evans since January 2014.

A warrant was issued for Evans, 41, on April 25 for alleged charges of sex assault on a child by one in a position of trust- victim under 15 with a $100,000 bond.

An alert citizen called in a tip to the Douglas County dispatch that Evans was concealed in his home in Highlands Ranch. Law enforcement had been to the home several times with no success.

When deputies entered the home they found Evans hiding. He was taken into custody and booked into the Douglas County Detention Facility.
