Domestic Violence Investigation Leads To Barricade Situation

DENVER (CBS4) - A man barricaded himself inside an apartment Wednesday morning in Denver's Green Valley Ranch neighborhood.
Denver police alerted the public at 4:40 a.m. that they were on scene of a barricade situation in the 16199 block of East Green Valley Ranch Boulevard, at the Parkfield Apartment Homes. They said it is related to a domestic violence investigation.
Police were also investigating a possible shot fired in the area while at the apartment complex, but it is unclear whether that is related to the barricade scene or not.
The area is closed off until the situation is resolved, though residents of the apartment complex are allowed to leave.
