Larry Edelman found Steve stuck outside in his backyard last weekend during sub-zero temperatures. Edelman tried taking the dog inside but wasn't able to get him out from under his patio. Noticing the dog's injuries and fearing for his life, Edelman called 311.

Animal Control officers responded and rescued Steve before it was too late.

Rosenow's nurse saw a story on CBS4's evening newscast and showed it to Rosenow, who recognized Steve.

Both Steve and Rosenow are back home.
