Divers Search For Missing Tuber Along South Platte River

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4)- Denver Firefighter rescue units worked to rescue a man who went tubing on the South Platte River on Saturday afternoon.

Witnesses told rescuers that two men were tubing on the river but they started looking as though they were in distress and only one got to the bank.

Divers searched for more than an hour on the river between Oxford and Riverpoint and conducted several searches in the rushing water.

The South Platte River has been rushing very fast and high with all the snowmelt and recent weeks of rain.

It is unclear how long the search crews will continue their search.
