District Attorney Takes Over Black Forest Fire Investigation
BLACK FOREST, Colo. (CBS4) - The Black Forest Fire investigation is now in the hands of the district attorney.
There are thousands of pages of reports in eight three-inch thick binders. The report is not being released publicly.
In June El Paso County Sheriff Terry Maketa said the fire was not caused by lightning, smoking, campfires or children.
The fire in June of 2013 killed two and destroyed 486 homes, making it the most destructive wildfire in state history.
