Distracted Drivers Beware: Greeley Police On Patrol

GREELEY, Colo. (CBS4)- Distracted drivers in Greeley should be on alert as police increase patrols, targeting drivers who are doing anything but keeping their eyes on the road and hands on the wheel.

"One of the most egregious thing that I've seen was paralleling a lady going down on Interstate 25 reading a book that she had propped up on the steering wheel," said Greeley Police Chief Jerry Garner.

The fine for distracted driving in Greeley is $90. Most people in Greeley welcome the new laws.
