Disney's 'Frozen' Will Play In Denver Before Heading To Broadway

DENVER (CBS4) - The Denver Center for the Performing Arts on Thursday announced which Broadway shows will be coming to Denver for the 2016-17 season, and one of those shows is a brand new Disney musical.

Critic at Large Greg Moody found out that "Frozen" is coming to Denver. The show is a pre-Broadway tryout and it will be in Denver for the summer of 2017. It's the final show of the season and comes to Denver before even going to New York City.

Some of the other shows in the Broadway series are as follows:

"Phantom of the Opera" opens in August
"Cabaret" opens in September
"Finding Neverland" opens in December
"Fun Home" opens in January of 2017
"An American in Paris" opens in March of 2017

The following are some added attractions:

"Hedwig and the Angry Itch" opens in December
"Motown: The Musical" opens in February of 2017
"Kinky Boots" opens in March of 2017
"The Illusionists" opens in May of 2017
