DIA Resumes Operations Following Suspicious Item Investigation
DENVER (CBS4) - The south TSA screening lanes were closed at Denver International Airport on Tuesday afternoon due to a potential security concern.
DIA tweeted nearly two hours later that Denver police cleared a suspicious item, and operations were returning to normal.

For two hours, DIA urged passengers to use the north or bridge checkpoints while officers investigated the concern.
Passengers arriving at the RTD train platform were urged to use the Westin hotel elevators to access level 5 and walk around to the terminal during the investigation.
A regional spokeswoman for TSA issued a statement Tuesday night:
"TSA at Denver International Airport (DEN) alerted the Denver Police Department (DPD) to a suspicious bag left at the South Security checkpoint at about 3:40 pm MST. The checkpoint was closed, and passengers were directed to the North and A Bridge checkpoints. The owner of the bag was located, interviewed and allowed to rebook. The DPD Bomb Squad cleared the bag with negative findings at about 5:40 pm.
On background: The South checkpoint will not reopen tonight due to previously scheduled maintenance, which is unrelated to this incident. North will be the 24-hour checkpoint tonight and tomorrow night."
