DIA: No Major Delays Expected With Upcoming Snowstorm

DENVER (CBS4) - Officials at Denver International Airport don't expect the burst of snow projected to arrive Monday night and last into Tuesday morning to impact operations significantly.

"Due to warmer surface temperatures and the forecasted snow totals, the airport is not expecting significant flight delays or cancellations at this time," DIA officials wrote in a prepared statement.

Parts of the Denver metro area could pick up 1 to 4 inches of snow with this storm, with the most on the south side of the area and areas closer to the foothills.

Airport officials said snow removal crews will be out clearing roads and the runways at the airport. They also urged drivers to be careful on wet or icy roads.
