DIA: All Flights Grounded During Severe Weather

DENVER (CBS4)- All flights were grounded at Denver International Airport during Tuesday afternoon's severe weather that started with a tornado warning.

All flights were grounded at DIA after the tornado warning was issued just before 4 p.m.

Heath Montgomery, a spokesman for DIA, told CBS4 News " All flights are grounded. Nothing is taking off or landing."

That ground stop remained in place even after the tornado warning expired at 4:30 p.m. The severe weather warning continued for parts of Arapahoe and Douglas Counties as a severe thunderstorm warning until 5:11 p.m. on Tuesday.
