Despite Loss, Game Was A Big Win For Some Broncos Fans

DENVER (CBS4)- Despite Sunday's loss to the Chiefs, the game was a big win for one family of Broncos fans.

Broncos safety T.J. Ward named Miles Taylor as his "Boss of the Month" a program in the T.J. Ward Foundation that encourages fans to be leaders in the communities.

Miles is 5 years old and has a terminal illness called Menkes disease. He wasn't expected to survive past the age of 2.

Now Miles and his parents are spreading awareness about his rare disease.

On Sunday, the Taylor family got to be on the field and meet Ward before kickoff.

"I was very appreciative of him having us here and to come over and say 'Hi,'" said Miles' mother Beth Taylor.

The Taylors say it was a life-changing experience for Miles and something he will always remember.
