Weld County Deputy Arrested In Child Abuse Case

WELD COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- A deputy with the Weld County Sheriff's Office has been arrested and placed on unpaid leave following child abuse allegations.
Derek Kinch has been with the sheriff's office for nine years.
On July 21, investigators in the sheriff's office were made aware of the allegations involving child abuse.
The allegations stem from an incident involving Kinch in unincorporated Weld County near Longmont.
Kinch has been placed on unpaid leave pending the investigation.
