Deputies Arrest Man In Connection With Body Found In Burned Out Car

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Deputies in Jefferson County have made an arrest in connection with the murder of a man whose body was found in a burned out car.

According to Jacki Kelley with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, deputies arrested Shawn Geerdes, 46, for the murder of Jason Michael Dosa from Parker.

Dosa's body was found inside a burning sedan down a steep embankment near the 9500 block of Cougar Road in the Deer Creek area about 11:40 a.m. Sunday.

Geerdes is being held without bond at the Jefferson County Detention Facility on charges of first-degree murder and second-degree arson.

No other details were released.

Dosa's family says he was married with two children, according to a GoFundMe site set up to help the family. It describes him as a "light in this world and was looked up to by so many."
