Denver's May Weather Could Do Something That Hasn't Happened In 58 Years

DENVER (CBS4) - To say the weather so far this spring has been unusual across Colorado might be an understatement.

In some cases it's breaking into the record books.

Denver is on track this May to do something that hasn't happened since 1957.

There's a decent chance May 2015 will end without the temperature reaching 80°F.

In fact May 2015 could end up in the top five coolest on record.

With 20 days of data we're currently in fifth place.

Highs through the middle of next week in Denver are expected to range from the mid 60s to mid 70s with a daily chance for showers and storms.

If we end up having an 80°F temperature this month it will likely be sometime during the last few days.

The 30-year average high for Denver in mid to late May is in the mid to upper 70s.
