Denver's Largest Open Space Park Officially Opens

DENVER (CBS4) - The official opening of Denver's largest open space will take place Monday morning east of the city.

First Creek at DEN Open Space, a 198-acre property, is at the intersection of Buckley Road and 56th Avenue. Denver Parks and Recreation will work with Denver International Airport to manage and maintain the property.

DPR also has restoration plans for the property, including improving the parking lot to serve a trailhead that connects with trails in the Denver neighborhoods of Montbello, Green Valley Ranch, and Parkfield.
