Denver Zoo Testing New 'Giraffe Encounters' With Visitors

DENVER (CBS4) - The Denver Zoo is offering a sneak peak at the new Giraffe Encounters.

Friday was the first trial to see how giraffes interact with guests before the new feature officially opens to the public. Visitors had a chance to feed, bond and learn a little more about the animals.

"You can get face to face with our giraffes in two different unique levels, and I think that's what makes this encounter really different from other places, said Brittany Frederick, guest engagement manager.

Giraffe Encounters is set to open June 23 but the zoo says that date could change depending on how the giraffes adjust.
