Denver Develops Community-Based Plan To Reduce Youth Violence

DENVER (CBS4)- The City of Denver is taking steps to prevent and reduce youth violence in the community. They have developed a youth violence prevention comprehensive plan.

The plan outlines long-term strategies that take a public health approach to preventing youth violence. The plan includes things like new youth centers, expansions of safe zone events, access to mental and behavioral support and ehnanced programming through community-based organizations.

Efforts will begin March 1.
