Denver Woman Looks For Answers In Brother's Death, Dismemberment

HELENA, Mont. (AP) - The family of a Helena-area man who was killed and dismembered three years ago is hoping a $10,000 reward might entice someone to come forward with information that will lead to a conviction in the death of John Michael Crites.

Connie Crites of Denver says she believes someone knows something about her brother's death that could help the investigation. She says they may not think it's important or they may be afraid to come forward.

Lewis and Clark County Sheriff Leo Dutton says officers have worked all the leads they have so far.

Crites went missing in June 2011 amid a dispute with neighbors over land access. Parts of his body were found in garbage bags on MacDonald Pass west of Helena four months later. His skull was found near a trail outside Elliston in September 2012.
