Denver Urban Gardens Offers Free Seeds To Some Families

DENVER (CBS4) - Denver Urban Gardens says now is the time to start planning your garden and apply for free seeds and plants.

Low to moderate income families can apply for free seeds that will blossom into herbs, vegetables and plants.

The goal is to encourage people and schools to plant their own foods.

There are 36 seed and transplant distribution centers metro wide. The deadline to apply is Jan. 30. For more information go to dug.org.
