City Of Denver Buys Former Strip Club Property

DENVER (CBS4) - The City of Denver is buying a longtime eyesore on East Colfax Avenue.
Police have been working to clean up the crime-ridden spot where a strip club used to exist near the intersection of East Colfax Avenue and Verbena Street. The building has sat vacant for a while but the former club's signs still remain there.
Neighbors say they hope the purchase leads to fewer crimes in the area.
City officials haven't said what they plan to do with the land.
