Denver Sheriff Department Honors Their Fallen Officers

DENVER (CBS4) - The Denver Sheriff Department on Monday remembered its fallen officers.
The department held a remembrance ceremony at the county jail.
Sheriff Patrick Firman says officers need to be remembered for their sacrifice.
"Our staff, they run toward danger. That's very different and that's very counterintuitive. I think every day they put on that uniform, they come to work, they don't know what's going to happen. They're dealing with a very difficult population. And they do it anyways," Firman said.
Law enforcement agencies around the state and the country are celebrating National Police Week this week.
