DENVER (CBS4) - The Colorado Rockies were back in action at Coors Field on Saturday after Friday's home opener left a big mess downtown.

The Rescue Mission's newest shelter is just blocks from Coors Field. Volunteers say the cleanup is their way of giving back to the community.

"Some of the program men and women who are at the mission now have come from the streets, and living on the streets, coming from addictions, different challenges in their lives; so it's a chance for them to kind of reflect on where they were and just kind of see their progress," said Alexxa Gagner, Director of Public Relations for the Rescue Mission.

About 70 volunteers helped with the cleanup.
