By Chris Spears

DENVER (CBS4) - The temperature at Denver International Airport hit 79°F on Thursday making it the warmest day since Oct. 19, 2015.

A weather station in City Park recorded a temperature of 79.6°F which will be entered into the record books as 80°F.

The 30-year average high in Denver for May 5 is 67°F.

While Denver is still waiting on the first 'official' 80°F day of the year several CBS4 Weather Watchers enjoyed temperatures in the lower 80s before clouds moved overhead.
