Denver Public Schools, Bus Driver's Union Agree On $24/Hour In 3-Year Contract

DENVER (CBS4)- Denver Public Schools and the bus driver's union have agreed on a three-year contract that outlines new hourly rates. Starting bus drivers will make $24 an hour. That's a nearly 18% increase.

Starting transportation maintenance employees will make $20.84 an hour, that's up 15%.

DPS said the increase will allow the district to remain competitive in the job market. The agreement will provide market adjustments in June and cost of living adjustments in August every year.
