Denver Police Officer Released From Hospital After SUV Crashes Into Police Vehicle

DENVER (CBS4)- A Denver police officer was released from the hospital hours after an SUV driver rear-ended the officer's cruiser. The crash happened about 1 a.m. Monday.
The officer was in his patrol vehicle on Interstate 70 near Brighton Boulevard when the officer was struck.
The barrier on I-70 was damaged and some lanes had to be closed while those repairs were completed.
The driver of the SUV suffered serious injuries and is expected to survive.
