Denver Police: Suspicious Package Outside Denver Sheriff Department Not A Threat

DENVER (CBS4) - Denver Police say a suspicious package outside the Denver Sheriff Department downtown is not a threat. Officers were called to the corner of W. 14th Ave. and N. Elati St. around 7 p.m. Tuesday. 

Investigators said the suspicious package was a cardboard box wrapped with tape on the sidewalk. Officers did not close the intersection or evacuate nearby businesses.

The department tweeted around 8:30 p.m. that the situation had been resolved and there was no threat.
